Do I need a referral to see an Occupational Therapist?

No referral is necessary to see an Occupational Therapist.
A referral or letter from a GP, paediatrician or allied health professional can be useful in providing more information to assist the therapist.

How much does an assessment and therapy cost?

Fees are charged at the NDIS current hourly rate or part there of. 

 

Fees include: 

- Assessment (4 hours total including assessment time, scoring and interpreting results, liaison and information gathering with key people, full report and recommendations) 

- Therapy (1 hour sessions- including 15mins for clinic notes, preparation, set up and pack up)

- Travel (charged at 50% of the rate).

- Written reports, equipment prescription, recommendations, NDIS AT or Home modification forms, referrals, support letters, meeting attendance, resources, home or school programs, phone consultation, liaison.

Full payments are required on the day of service.

Eligible families can claim rebates through NDIS, Medicare or their private health provider.

Grow Children's Occupational Therapy is based in the Adelaide Hills, Heathfield and Totness, in South Australia
We provide a service to families in the surrounding suburbs including Stirling, Aldgate, Littlehampton and Mount Barker region.

Travel  is zoned and travel costs apply. Appointments are grouped to reduce travel time. 

Appointments can be at Totness Clinic best suited if your child is 5 years or under. 
Telehealth is available outside of these areas including regional and remote parts of South Australia.
